Superior bolsters services with in-house engineering

To keep pace with demand for more complex commercial projects, the Superior Group has bolstered its in house engineering capabilities with the addition of a dedicated engineering division.

“In our 26 year evolution, this is the next phase,” explains CEO, John Hogan. “We are being approached for more complicated, larger commercial marinas, as well as mining and port projects, often on challenging sites. As a result, our products have had to develop, becoming far more technical and more complex in terms of their engineering challenges.

“We have welcomed to our team four engineers in structural, civil and mechanical engineering, led by Johan Tan who is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and Mick Hutton, our Operations Manager who is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in the mining sector.

“This means Superior can design, fully engineer internally and manufacture a structure, thereby enabling a turnkey solution, inclusive of certifications.”

Superior’s heavy duty design product solutions include the Super Elite Marina System and wave attenuation designs to improve marginal marina sites. High specification flotation and ancillary access structures for the energy and natural resources markets are also fully designed in-house prior to manufacture.

Clients can rely on Superior’s engineering expertise to add value at all stages of a project.
