SEQ Water, Kilcoy QLD
Project Overview

Superior designed and installed a floating walkway using the versatile and flexible Superior Modular Docking (SMD) system.  Over 50 modules were used to create a 150m walkway from the shore to the RWPS pontoon for regular access and maintenance, complete with Aluminium handrails, solar lights and security gate to prevent public access. Hose reels were fitted to  provide hose-down coverage for the entire walkway and connected to the RWPS rising main. Warning buoys with signage were added for limiting access around the structure.

The scope of works for SEQ Water at Kilcoy also included the relocation of the RWPS pontoon back to an optimized position.  In addition, Superior designed and installed a complete new anchoring system for the existing pontoon and walkway using marineflex tethers to allow for the large rise and fall in lake levels during drought or flood.
